It all started with my mum's business.

I discovered web design while building a website for my mum's coaching business. Watching her face light up when she saw her brand come to life online was the moment I knew this was what I wanted to do. Alongside media production, I studied graphic design, which shaped how I think about colour, layout and type.

I grew up around Notting Hill and Camden Market in London, surrounded by talented people with brilliant products. Too often, they were held back by a website that didn't do them justice, or by not having one at all.

That's why I started By Mai Jaya: to give small business owners the kind of website you'd expect from a big agency, with a personal, one-to-one experience from start to finish.

Every business deserves to look as good online as it does in real life.
